American Red Cross
The American Red Cross provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The organization is committed to saving lives and easing suffering. In addition, they give health and safety training to the public and provide emergency social services to U.S. military members and their families. Furthermore, in the wake of an earthquake, tornado, flood, fire, hurricane or other disaster, the Red Cross provides relief services to communities across the country.

PEACE for Families
Our Mission: Provide effective and accessible services to individuals and families in Placer County who experience sexual assault and/or family violence;
to be a proactive and visible source of related intervention, education and prevention services to the community.

PEACE for Families, formerly Placer Women's Center, is a private, non-profit, community-based organization providing comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in Placer County. P.E.A.C.E. stands for Placer Extends A Caring Environment for Families. PEACE currently has 40 paid staff members and more than 30 volunteers working together to provide round-the-clock services to victims and their families.

Services include: 24-hour crisis line (1-800-575-5352), emergency shelter, in-person crisis intervention, hospital accompaniment, counseling, assistance, residential treatment, court and social-service advocacy and legal help, support groups, parenting classes, information, referrals, and community education on the issues and prevention of domestic violence and sexual assault.

WEAVE
Women Escaping a Violent Environment
Our Mission: To decrease victim trauma and promote recovery through effective counseling and advocacy programs in Sacramento County; to decrease the incidence of sexual assault and domestic violence; and to challenge and dispel societal myths which condone and perpetuate violence against women regionally, statewide and nationally.

WEAVE is the sole provider of comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence and their families as well as survivors of sexual assault within Sacramento County. WEAVE provides:

Wind Youth Center
Bringing Hope to Sacramento's Homeless Teens
The Wind Youth Center is dedicated to reaching out and supporting high-risk and homeless teens in the Greater Sacramento Area by providing a safe and welcoming place where they can receive services with dignity and respect, while escaping the harsh reality of the streets. Wind Youth offers basic needs such as education, counseling, shelter, as well as, many other services, and is dedicated to getting these teens off the streets and into safe homes.

Wind Youth's Drop-In Center: open days for high-risk and homeless teens. The center offers meals, showers, laundry facilities, kitchen, game room, computers, education, case management, and drug and alcohol counseling.

Wind Youth's Overnight Shelter: a safe, clean, and comfortable place to sleep. The shelter accepts both boys and girls. Staff and volunteers are on hand at all times to ensure the teen's safety.
